Transport
The organization of the Douro Vinhateiro Half Marathon will once again be pleased to offer transport between the city of Peso da Régua and the race start point (Bagaúste Dam), in a convenient way for all participants in the event.
Important information
📍 Embarkation and disembarkation:
– Boarding point: Peso da Régua CP station.
– Disembarkation for the races: the buses stop around 500 meters from the starting point, while the train has a disembarkation point around 400 meters away.
🚗 Parking:
– In the city of Peso da Régua there will be duly signposted parking lots.
– Follow the signs to get to the transport boarding point, located next to the CP station.
🚉 Transportation by train and bus:
– Train: Exclusive for the timed races (21 km):
1st Train – Régua 7h00 – 7h05 Bagaúste
2nd Train – Régua 7h30 – 7h35 Bagaúste
3rd Train – Régua 8h00 – 8h05 Bagaúste
4th Train – Régua 8h36 – 8h41 Bagaúste
Note:
Access to each of the trains is via a bib (all bibs will have the respective timetable selected duly printed).
– Buses: Available for all participants (21km and Walk):
1st Bus – 7h00
Next buses – every 10 minutes
Last bus – 8:30 a.m.
– The transport times will be clearly indicated at the time of registration and must be selected before finalizing registration.
🚶 Walk to the starting point:
– For those who prefer an active warm-up, there is the option of walking to the starting point (about 3.5km).
– National Road 222 will be closed to traffic from 7am, providing a safe and peaceful route for the runners.
